Une troisième histoire.
A third story.
Avec Eurydice sur la jetée, Tom Letrou entremêle le mythe d’Orphée et Eurydice et La Jetée de Chris Marker. En plaçant Eurydice au centre, musique et texte font apparaître un nouveau récit, intime, mélancolique et cinématographique.
Les trois compositions possèdent chacune leur atmosphère. Entre elles, les interludes portés par Emma Perrot déplacent le point de vue et donnent une voix à Eurydice.
Tom Letrou intertwines the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice with Chris Marker’s La Jetée. By placing Eurydice at the centre, music and text reveal a new narrative: intimate, melancholic and cinematic. Between the three compositions, interludes performed by Emma Perrot shift the perspective and give Eurydice a voice.

Tom Letrou aime qu’on lui raconte des histoires, surtout lorsqu’elles passent par la musique. Contrebassiste et compositeur, il imagine des récits dans lesquels les mots, l’écriture musicale et l’improvisation se répondent.
Tom Letrou loves being told stories, especially when they unfold through music. A double bassist and composer, he creates narratives in which words, written music and improvisation answer one another.
Composé par Tom Letrou, Eurydice sur la jetée réunit sept musiciens et la voix d’Emma Perrot. Enregistré au Parking Jazz Club, il inaugure le catalogue de Sous la Chapelle.
